Why are my uploaded images appearing blurry on my website?

Hi there,

I am trying to upload a simple slide with some reviews into my website but I cant seem to find a way to make it look sharp quality it always looks a bit blurry (laptop and phone). I am a graphic designer and I am trying to save the images with high resolution without going over 20MB but just cant seem to make it work.

Hi @mariaalves

can you post the URL to your store so that I can take a look?

Also please consider that Shopify automatically compress the JPEG images in this way.

  • JPEG: Between 65 - 85 percent
  • PNG: 90 percent
  • GIF: no change in quality

Source: Shopify Compression Rates

If you want to show JPEG images with quality higher than 85% you need to host them externally.
