Why aren't my legal policies updating correctly?

Hello to you all out there,

I am trying to adjust the legal polices to my specifications. But after saving and updating. The policies are reverting back to the generic forms.

I have managed to changed refund policy and terms of service. But the others just revert back to the original.

It sounds like you’ve linked your legal policies in your Shopify Admin > Online Store > Navigation > Main menu section, but updates to your privacy policy and shipping policy in your Settings > Legal section aren’t reflected on your website. Do I have that right?

To clarify, in the main menu navigation, did you link your policies specifically and not a page? For example, to link your policy, you would Add the main menu > Link > Policies > Privacy policy like so:

The reason I ask is that there may be a chance you created a page with your policies and have linked that to your navigation. This would mean that any changes made in your Settings > Legal wouldn’t affect the storefront, since it’s the “page” that’s linked. Alternatively, you could be editing the policies on your page, but it’s the policies in Settings > Legal that’s linked in your main menu’s navigation.

Trying from another browser
