Why can't I access my online store despite updated payments?

I’m trying to access my Shopify store but keep getting an error message

“If your most recent stores aren’t listed, reload the page or try again later.”

This has been for the past hour. The account is up to date on payments and I’ve checked Shopify status pages. I also have a completely separate work Shopify login and that one is working perfectly fine. Please advise, thank you!

Usually when this message appears, it is likely down to a device/browser issue. It would be great if you could try the below troubleshooting steps so that we can rule out a few things:

  • Clear your cache and cookies on your browser. After this, completely reboot the browser.
  • Try a different web browser, as well as incognito or private windows to rule out any browser issues.
  • When using incognito, if you’re still experiencing a delay, confirm you have disabled browser extensions, as these can change how pages function and look.
  • Ensure your web browser is up-to-date on the latest version (we don’t support every browser, but we do support these here).
  • Try another device like a computer or mobile phone.
  • Try on the Shopify Mobile App; this is typically the best step to try, as it will rule out any browser issues.
  • Ensure you do not have any firewalls or pop up blockers enabled on your device, as these can interfere.
  • Try a different Wi-Fi or cellular connection.

This keep on happening to me too and frustrating to see how many other people are having this problem while there’s no explanation or solution. Typically I can always access on my phone, but let’s just say it is the least convenient way to do business and what I can access is limited. Usually this block lasts a few hours to several days, right now I’m at the two-day mark, during which I cannot access my account from a computer (tried every type of troubleshooting including all those listed above). This is becoming so ridiculous I am wondering if building a website using shopify was the right decisions. Platform is great when it works but I seem to be locked out ever more frequently with no explanation or way to fix.
