Recently my site has just randomly stopped letting me in with an error saying this site cant be reached. I haven’t touched it for a week and now it suddenly started.
I tried accessing the website on different internet connections and data as well.
I tried clearing my cache and cookies, resetting my DNS, still nothing.
Thank you for reaching out, and I am sorry to hear you’re having issues with your website.
To confirm, are you seeing the error message when attempting to visit your storefront, or your Shopify admin? Also, can you please share your store link, so I can check if I see the same error message on my end?
If clearing the cache did not work, but you are able to log in to your admin, one thing you should check is your Domains section. This is accessed by going to Online store > Domains. Please check to see if your domain is connected - usually if there is an issue you might see a label next to your domain name that says something like Not connected. If you do see something similar, check if you have the option to Reconnect or if it brings up any other errors for you there.
Keep in mind, if your domain is not hosted by Shopify but rather a third party provider such as GoDaddy, you will need to log into your provider’s account and check the DNS settings of that domain. If you find an issue there, you may need to contact your domain provider’s support so that they can have a look. Just in case, what you should look for in those settings is that your

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
Ensure that you’re connected to the internet and that your connection is stable. If needed, try restarting your router or modem to refresh the connection.
Sometimes, stored cache and cookies can cause conflicts, leading to websites not loading correctly. Clear your browser’s cache and cookies, then try accessing your Shopify site again.
If you usually use Google Chrome, try using a different browser like Firefox or Safari. This can help determine if the issue is browser-specific.
Attempt to access your Shopify site from a different device, such as a smartphone or tablet, to see if the problem is isolated to one particular device.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Shopify’s support team. They can offer specialized assistance to diagnose and fix the problem.
Additionally, consider checking the following.
First, verify that your domain is correctly connected to Shopify. You can do this by navigating to Online Store > Domains in your Shopify admin. Confirm that the connection is established correctly.
Next, check the accuracy of your DNS records. Utilize a free DNS checker tool to validate them and ensure they are set up correctly. Accurate DNS records are crucial for the proper functioning of your online store.
Also, make sure that your Shopify store is not in maintenance mode. Visit Online Store > Settings > General in your Shopify admin to confirm this. If it is in maintenance mode, disable it to ensure your customers have uninterrupted access to your store.
