Why can't I activate Shop Pay for my sales channels?

I’m in need of help understanding why I can’t use shop pay for my sales channels, it says the reason it’s inactive is because I haven’t had an order processed in the last 90 days using shop pay but I can’t even activate it please help

Hi there, @Timmyxk !

Thank you for your post, I’m happy to share some more information about adding Shop to your store.

From what you’re describing, you may be mixing up Shop and Shop Pay. Shop is a shopping destination and delivery tracking app that’s available to customers on iOS and Android. Customers can use the Shop app to track packages, discover new stores and products, make purchases using Shop Pay, and engage with your brand. Alternatively, Shop Pay is an accelerated checkout that lets customers save their email address, credit card, and shipping and billing information. This can save your customers time when they check out, especially if they’ve already opted in to Shop Pay in the past.

The Shop sales channel does have a requirement that your Shopify Payments account must be active for more than 90 days. This means you must have processed at least one order using Shopify Payments, at least 90 days ago. You can read more about the merchant eligibility requirements for Shop in this help document.

You can enable Shop Pay on your store simply by following the instructions outlined in this help document. You aren’t required to wait a certain period to enable Shop Pay.

I know this may be confusing since the two features have similar names. If there’s anything else you’d like me to verify for you, please just let me know!
