Why can't I push the theme app extension anymore?

When i run “shopify extension push” command then I’m getting following error, despite the same command working perfectly a few days ago. I appreciate any help.

Error: Unknown extension type THEME_APP_EXTENSION

Same issue here - all of a sudden doesn’t work.
