Why can't I see customer selections in Infinite Options by ShopPad?

Since beginning my store, I have had the app ‘Infinite Options by ShopPad Inc.’ integrated within my website. Only until now, have I noticed a glitch with viewing the options the customer had made. When I click on a customer’s order, I am able to see the product but not the options selected (which is usually seen as information underneath the order).

For a little more insight:

My products are listed as “6BOX, 12BOX, 18BOX” If a customer orders a “6BOX” they are able to make a selection of six different brownie flavour selections to put in their box.

The issue lies where after the customer has chosen their product and made their selection. When receiving their order, I can see that the customer purchased the product “6BOX” but I cannot see the six brownie selections.

This does not happen with all orders - Only some, but I am still constantly finding my self having to personally reach out to customers and ask them to tell me the selection they have chosen as it is missing.

We’re truly sorry to hear that you’ve had these experiences while using our Infinite Options app.

There is currently a known Shopify issue due to recent updates that has led to Options/line item properties not being transferred properly to the backend when checking out via dynamic buy buttons (https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-apis-and-sdks/buy-it-now-button-not-saving-line-item-properties-on-checkout/m-p/1488925). Essentially, the customers’ Option selections are not displayed at checkout if they select “buy it now” instead of “add to cart.”

In the mean time, we are able to implement a workaround solution to prevent the issue of Options not transferring over to the backend by adding a snippet of code to your theme to help hide the “buy it now” button while waiting for the bug to be resolved by Shopify.
