Why can't my dropshipping store ship to my own address?

I’ve had my store for a few months without any sales. Today, I went onto my site and tried to do a test order. I got the following message that it couldn’t ship to my address. Has anyone dealt with this before? What have I done wrong?

Hi, @MesavaStyle .

Thanks for sharing the screenshot. Is the error message only occurring for a specific address on checkout, or multiple addresses?

It looks like the error message may be coming from your store’s shipping rates. I recommend checking your shipping rates on your Shopify admin via Settings > Shipping and delivery > Manage rates. From there, you can double check for the following:

  1. Make sure that the address being entered on checkout is included within your Shipping to zones.
  2. If you’ve created your own shipping rates, make sure that the order total on cart falls within your price or weight conditions of your shipping rates.
  3. Normally, your dropshipping supplier or app of choice shows up as its own location within your shipping settings. So check that the products on checkout are being stocked at the dropshipping location that already has shipping rates attached to it. A location with active shipping rates will show up under the Shipping from heading. If any one of your locations don’t have shipping rates on them, they will show up on the very bottom of this page under the heading Not shipping from, and it will give you the option to add shipping rates to these locations.
  4. Are you using any third-party apps to configure your shipping rates too, by any chance? If this is the case, you can double check the shipping settings on the app to see if you’ve set it up correctly for it to pull through to your storefront.

We have a great help document here that will help you with setting up your shipping rates, if you need it. Once you make any necessary changes or edits to your shipping rates, you can test this again on your end, just to see if the shipping rates will now show up successfully on checkout.

Seeing as you’re currently placing a test order on your store too, I’ll leave our handy guide here in case you need further guidance with this process.
