Hi everybody, I am expereiencing a close to incredible situation: from 40% to 93,75% Bounce rate in 1 month on www.dreamshorizon.com.
This data is so incredible that i cannot believe it: it comes from Google Analytics (see attachments). I have opened around 10 stores and always performed well under 50%, so I have no idea of what is going on here.
Anybody can help? Thanks
I have discovered more: 90% of the 100% bounce rate sessions come from N/A sources (VPNs) and United States. From USA could be Bots? or maybe even simple “calls” from G Ads FB/IG and Microsoft Bing? We use all of them for advertsing…
In the meantime I have installed an App blocking these locations, anyway I will sell mainly in EU. But can anyboday tell me if something similar happened to you too and did you solve it?
In attachmetn the breeakdown of the Bounce Rate rankings by country.
Thanks for your help, ciao!
Check for a correlation with adblockers this is your site when using one:
Even when adblocking is disabled this pops back up after a few seconds for USA chrome browser windows.
Overaggressive gatekeeping is a good way to have an empty yard , no friends, and an alienated neighborhood.
Better double check this isn’t your opengraph/placeholder images in other spaces as well that auto grab a frontpage screenshot.
Hi Paul,
I installed this App exactly to stop (experiment) 181 accesses from USA with 100% bounce rate. Actually USA is open again (we had prospetcs asking to access), but bounce rate still is high.
I studied a bit the matter and discovered that for a business model like ours (yacht charter), such a high BR is not meaning “no interest”. They come, they check long the homepage and most likely bookmark it for future analysis. Renting a yacht is a month long decision process, so it can be quite usual that as step 1 visitors do not go beyond home page (which is long): in fact the average duration is not bad. This mean they scroll the page with interest. If BR would be couple to 3’’ avg duration then Yes, I would have a serious problem. But I range from an averag 10" up to 1’ reading.
Thanks for your answer, I appreciate it anyway and I press the SOLUTION FOUND button as a thank you for your feed-back. take care, ciao!
