Hello, I’m in my first month with shopify and I just ended my free trial. I tried starting the payment plan, but it failed saying that there was a problem with my payment method. It doesn’t give me any further information on why this happen. Can you please help with giving me some reasons on why did this happen. Thank you!

I appreciate you reaching out regarding your billing. In most cases, you should be able to reach out directly to your bank or payment provider to ensure that your card is set up to accept recurring payments online.
To provide some context, you can pay for your Shopify bills (one-time or recurring) using a valid credit card from Mastercard, Visa, or American Express. You can use a debit card that is co-branded with Mastercard, Visa, or American Express. Another option would be to use PayPal if available. If eligible, you can pay for your bills using PayPal via your PayPal balance, bank accounts, debit cards, or credit cards that are associated with your PayPal account.
