We have noticed that our sales report has changed the amount of £ in sales overnight.
In the evening there was, say, £5200 in sales, but the next morning report for that day showed only £4700. Where the £500 have gone overnight?
We process all the returns during the day, so they couldn`t possibly affect this.
In the sales report there is nothing suspicious, like all the taxes, discounts, returns etc. maths together and makes that £4700.
What could be the issue? Really frustrated about this
I can definitely see your frustration here.
Trying to think what would cause that, just so we can confirm - the issue
so say Tuesday you do £5000 in sales
then you check the sales on Wednesday and Tuesday’s sales are £4500 so £500 missing
So the core issue is that somehow some sales have went missing, normally I’d guess refunds but since they are processed during the day then that isn’t possible.
Any cancelled orders?
I do confirm, this is right.
No cancelled orders at all for that day.
Even if refunds would affect this, then there were only £30 or so in refunds processed that day.
It just doesn`t make sense at all.
Yup, I agree. I think someone Shopify staff needs to chime in here as they’d have access to the backend of things.
