I recently undertook the process of transitioning my business from a personal entity to an LLC. One of the required steps was to provide identification, and initially, I submitted my passport assuming it would be acceptable, not realizing it needed to be a US ID specifically. However, upon learning about the requirement, I promptly informed them that I had an alternative form of identification to provide. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive a response from them, and to my dismay, my Shopify payments account was unexpectedly banned. This situation feels incredibly unfair, considering the circumstances. Despite reaching out to them, I have not received any assistance or even a reply. It’s disheartening to experience such a lack of customer support, especially from a company as prominent and financially successful as yours.
