Why does my cart show empty after adding a product?

My problem is when i click on the add to cart button the count shows on the cart but then when click on the cart the pop up window shows the number of item but then it says the cart is empty until i refresh the page.

please help me

Try to use a fresh copy of the theme

or

Revert the changes you did recently.
