Why does my checkout say shipping not available for all addresses?

When I try to ship it says shipping not available for this address and then I try another address and it still doesn’t work. What do I do to fix this problem

This error message could be displayed for a number of reasons, so kindly check a few things:

First, you’ll want to make sure you have added the state/ region within the USA you are using at checkout. When you add the USA to a shipping zone, you’ll see that it’s split into 62 “states”:

  • These 62 states will include the 50 states of the United States, territories (e.g. Puerto Rico), and armed forces locations (e.g. Armed Forces Americas). You’ll want to make sure you have all the states selected you wish to ship to, including the state containing the address you used at checkout.

To gather some more context, is this message only occurring to customers in your local area, or other parts of the US as well?

Secondly, do each of your products have weights attached to them? Shipping is based on the total value or weight, depending on how you have set up your shipping rates. With our Shipping Profiles, if you have the rates set up so that they depend 100% on the price of the items in total in the cart instead of weight, I recommend taking a peek at your settings under Settings > Shipping > Shipping Profiles and make sure that you’ve got all possible cart totals covered. What I mean is that all cart totals from $0.00 to unlimited have rates assigned to them. For more details on the steps to checking this, you can refer to the step-by-step shipping rate set up guide.
