we have noticed that Shopify takes a percentage of our external shipping cost from our total sale? However this is included in the total of the product sale. We except their percentage of products sold but the shipping cost is done by our local carrier and is not a product sale. Does anyone know a better way of seporating these please.

Thank you for reaching out about this concern. While Shopify does charge a transaction/processing fee, we do not charge additional fees per order for shipping charges.
Our community support team is not able to access merchant accounts so I can’t review these charges directly myself. I recommend reaching out to our authenticated support to have your billing fees reviewed with you and to better understand what the fees are that you are seeing.
If you wish to share a screenshot here of some of these fees, hiding any sensitive customer or account details, I am also happy to review them with you.
