Why does the domain verification button keep returning a 500 error?

The verify domain button does not work, constantly returns a 500 error. I have tried on multiple browsers and computers. Something is wrong on your side. None of your support pages help. I need to get my domain verified, please help fix this issue.

While you have completed a few troubleshooting steps already, I encourage you to attempt a few more. This will allow us to determine whether or not the issue may be related to a browser error.

The following troubleshooting steps include:

  • Try clearing your Cache and Cookies.
  • Access the shop from an Incognito Tab.
  • Try accessing from the Shopify Mobile App.
  • Make sure your device is Up To Date.
  • Try accessing using a D****ifferent Cellular Network (i.e not connected to wifi).

None of these additional steps helped. It’s a 500 error, meaning it’s an issue on the server side (your side). The page to verify domains is not loading from the server.
