Why doesn't the selected size stay highlighted on my homepage?

On the homepage, when a customer selects a size, it doesn’t stay highlighted even though it is selected. After the size is selected, it doesn’t look selected because the color stays the same. When you hover over the size, it does change color but doesn’t stay that way. Please help.

Go to the Online Store->Theme->Edit code-> theme.liquid file at the bottom, just before the closing tag:
