Hi,
I’ve been getting this error on Google for few months now.. been very patient, but it’s not getting fixed.
Sitemap could not be read
It’s only for one sitemap file sitemap_products_1.xml?from=7935195840749&to=7982560346349
The sitemap has 5000 products.
I can read the file easily when I put the URL on browser. Checked the xml file with other tools to validate it and seems to be fine.
Any solution to get this fixed? I’m missing out on pages being indexed.

You can get all sitemap of the site by using this url your-store.myshopify.com/sitemap.xml
I think, problem is in products sitemap url itself. sitemap url should be encoded. So instead of ‘?from=4512996851852&to=5213220176012’, it should be ‘?from=4512996851852&to=5213220176012’

But that didn’t help, tried it now.
Plus, it was able to read the other sitemap URL which had similar structure/encoding with no issues.
You should reach shopify support regarding this. There may be some issue from their side
I did. They said to check with Google.

Yes.. well, it just got resolved on its own after a while, it’s Google related thing. It takes time. could be months. Just let it go live you life- don’t go in circles.
haha, appreciate the reply. Hard to do when the whole of the Shopify Store has been de-indexed and manually submitting pages doesn’t even work.
