Why is my online store account closed and customer funds held for 120 days?

Hello,

I have a business that’s been open and selling to about a dozen customers since 2021. I’ve been using QuickBooks and PayPal to process payments and a website to process orders when I decided to setup a Shopify site. I setup my site, listed my items, and had 2 very loyal customers make 3 purchases for a total of $800. The orders were processed and everything seemed great when ALL OF THE SUDDEN I received an email this morning about my Shopify account being closed AND MY CUSTOMERS FUNDS ARE BEING HELD FOR 120 DAYS. I can’t login to my Shopify admin profile to process a refund for these payments and I can’t even seem to contact Shopify to dispute this/it won’t let me submit a dispute through the appeal form.

Now I have these 2 customers calling me nonstop about getting their money back, I cannot afford to reimburse them personally and Shopify can’t give me any answers. I can’t even find a good contact number.

I get the fact that Shopify wants to close my account but what does that have to do with my customers and their funds?? This is absolutely ridiculous and now these customers are going to submit complaints. SOMEONE HELP…

And even in 2024 the issue still progresses!!! I had 0 chargebacks I even got paid out once. I was waiting on the second payout (from the same customer I might add) after 10 days I asked customer service what the hold up was and what do ya know… same email as above… I seriously thinking about starting a class action. My brother ( class action attorney ) has had his hand in over 10+ class actions and has received settlements In 100% of them. My email is sloppyeaterzrox@yahoo.com email me if you want to start the class investigation against these tyrants. Btw I’ve tried over 10 times and after my claim has been escalated (lol) 10+ times. I still haven’t received a dime.
