I opened my Shopify store last week. I got everything sat up, but my Shopify payment-account is still pending, so the card options doesn’t show up on my store. I uploaded the documents that shows my address Wednesday, but it’s still pending. I keep getting notifications that they need more documents on my business, even though I’ve given them different ones. They are very slow to answer me in the support chat. How long is it normal to wait for your payment account to be verified? I’ve read up to three days, but it’s been almost a week now… Hope someone can help:)
Sorry, but I’m only able to provide you bad news. When you see the transaction is pending on your account, it is now too late to stop it with a stop payment from the bank. A transaction that is pending signifies the bank has approved it for processing. The stop payment will prevent further payments Ångest Medicin, so you will eventually want to call your bank to have it removed. It was already too late when they placed the stop payment, therefore I’d ask your bank if they might return it to you.
Hey, thank you for responding, but that wasn’t my question:)
Thanks for reaching out here, and welcome to the Shopify Community.
I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing delays with the verification of your Shopify Payments account. While the verification process is typically processed quite quickly, there are several factors that can sometimes impact the wait times including the volume of demand, the complexity of your issue, and other various compliance and regulatory checks that are required for your business and location. I understand that it can be frustrating to experience delays however, so I’d be happy to provide some steps that you can take:
Ensure that all the relevant documentation that you are uploading via your admin is as per the requirements outlined on this resource here. In particular, check that the documents provided are valid, clear, and easily understandable by our team. It’s also important that the information on the documents is a match for the information that you entered when setting up Shopify Payments. This will help to ensure the verification process goes as smoothly as possible, and should reduce the likelihood of having to re-upload the documents.
Check your emails to see if we have contacted you requesting additional information. Sometimes our teams will request extra information via email, so checking your spam/junk folders will be a good idea to make sure nothing has landed in there. There may also be further messages in your Shopify admin, requesting you to upload more documentation, or providing reasons for why the documents were rejected.
Have you already reached out to our team via our help center here, to inquire about the status of your verification request? If not, feel free to do so. We would be happy to check in on the status of your ticket, however please keep in mind we are not in a position to be able to make the process go faster, or provide you with any updates during the interaction.
Besides this, how is the rest of your store coming along? Is this your first time using Shopify? Feel free to share more information about your business and the type of products that you sell, and I’d be happy to provide you with some further resources!
