Why is my tap and chip reader not working and how can I replace it?

One of our tap and chip readers has been working on and off for last few months but this past week it has just died on us. What would cause the item to completely shutdown and what is the process for replacements?

I’m sorry to hear that one of your card readers stopped working. To confirm, is this the Tap & Chip Reader you have?

I’m curious to know if you’ve already spoken to our Retail Support team about the issues you’d been having with the card reader and whether you have already been through the troubleshooting steps. I’m not sure what would have caused it to completely shut down, but our team can absolutely look into this with you.

If the reader is in within warranty, it’s likely that we’ll be able to replace it for you if troubleshooting doesn’t resolve the issues. Card reader warranties depend on your POS subscription, and you can find the warranty information in the hardware store.
