I sat down to mark every item in my store to 0
as I’ve wrapped up production for the holidays.
To my surprise it’s not an easy task. The bulk editor is very broken, not allowing me to select multiple cells. Shift-Drag, alt-drag, CTL-drag…none of those work, and none of these work with the keyboard arrows either. In short, there is no way to select multiple cells. What is the purpose of having a bulk editor if that is not a feature?
It is not excel or google sheets, if you expect desktop-esque features like a spreadsheet then use dedicated spreadsheet software for managing store data.
Shopify UI’s cannot be everything to everyone, the bulk editor simply reduces the amount of of navigation between individual resources, and helps apply the same changes to a sequential set of connected cells in a column for different resources.
left, right, up ,down should all work for navigating among cells.
As should shift+up or shift+down for selecting multiple column-cells
