Why isn't my discount URL redirecting properly?

Hi everyone, I am trying to get my discount URL to redirect from the home page to a different page in my shop. I’ve already set up a redirect by changing it to /discount/code?redirect=/new-path, but the redirect isn’t kicking in, and it takes me back to the home page every time.

For those of you wondering, I’ve deleted my cache and cookies and opened a new private window.

I need to get this redirect working ASAP, so any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Are you doing redirection from the Shopify admin?
