Why isn't my Minimal theme preview working correctly?

Hello. So I’m trying use a new theme for my site, the Minimal theme, and when I do that, it just redirects to the page that’s already published, for some reason. Precisely, this: https://the-syndicated.com/?_ab=0&_fd=0&_sc=1.

I’ve been looking, on other threads that have said to use the “my-shopify” URL with the theme ID, and I tried that, but then I got this error.

Theme cannot be previewed because it’s missing one of these required files: layout/theme.liquid, config/settings_schema.json

So I have no idea why this is happening. Especially since I did nothing out of the ordinary to the theme for this to happen.

Nevermind. I figured out the problem. Something to do with my cookies.

Okay, now the issue is that both preview themes have the main site URL. So when I type “the-syndicated.com”, it goes to those new themes. I have no idea why that’s happening, but that’s really, really annoying.

How do I make it so that the URL goes from "https://the-syndicated.com/" to “the-syndica.myshopify.com” in previews?
