Hi, yesterday i purchased a new domain directly from shopify. Everything is ok and set up properly but in the google search the new website doesn’t show up. There is still the old one ( www.blacksanctuary.eu ) the new one is www.blacksanctuary.com.co When i purchased blacksanctuary.eu years ago, i didn’t have to do anything, the site appeared on google straight away. I’m wondering why its not happening the same now? How can i replace the old domain with the new one in the google search? Thank you. |

I definitely appreciate and understand your concern here, however there is nothing to be concerned about. This is completely normal. It can take time for Google to index your site. We recommend waiting at least a week before assuming an issue. Additionally, it’s important to submit your sitemap.
If you’re still having issues after a week, you an check Google’s support guide for troubleshooting steps.
In the meantime, I had a look at your site and it’s amazing! One piece of advice I have is to add a newsletter popup. Popups are a great tool to not only build a customer list, but a great way to convert traffic into sales! A great way to utilize a pop up would be to request customers sign up with their email to your mailing list to receive a 10% off coupon. A great popup app, which also has a free plan, is Privy! It also lets you create some fantastic email content.

i have another question if you don’t mind :
i noticed that also the previous domain still shows up ( blacksanctuary.eu ) i would like to delete it, but when i did last time, also the new url disappeared. I thought it was cause the new one was crawling all the infos from it , but now that the new one is available on google search, do you think i can go ahead and delete .eu now? Thanks so much for your time!
