Hello @Paperartist ,

If you’re trying to link a product to a menu item in the Shopify admin area but the product is not appearing as an option, there are a few potential reasons for this issue. Here are some suggestions you check them out:

  • Verify Product Availability: Ensure that the product you want to link is not hidden or unpublished. Go to your Shopify admin, navigate to the “Products” section, and make sure the product is visible and published. If it’s hidden or unpublished, you can edit the product and update its visibility settings.
  • Check Product Type: In the menu item settings, make sure you are selecting the correct product type. Some menu systems allow you to link to specific collections, product categories, or product types. Double-check that the product you want to link falls under the selected product type.
  • Review Menu Structure: Confirm that the menu item you are editing is in the correct location within the menu structure. Ensure that it is nested under the appropriate parent item or menu dropdown, as this can affect visibility and linkage options.
  • Clear Cache: Clear your browser cache and refresh the page. Sometimes, the admin area might not display the most up-to-date information, and clearing the cache can help resolve this issue.

Hope this can help. Let us know if you need any further support.

Can you share the link to your website or preview? Thanks!

Hello @Paperartist

If you’re trying to link a product to a menu item in the admin area of Shopify, and the product is not appearing as an option, there are a few things you can check:

  1. Ensure the product is published: Make sure the product you want to link is published and visible on your Shopify store. If it’s not published, it won’t appear as an option in the admin area.

  2. Check the product’s availability: Some products may have specific conditions that affect their availability for linking. For example, if a product is out of stock or set to “hidden” in the sales channels, it may not be selectable as a menu item. Verify that the product is in stock and visible on the appropriate sales channels.

  3. Verify the product is assigned to the correct collection: Menu items in Shopify can be linked to collections rather than individual products. Ensure that the product you want to link is assigned to the appropriate collection. You can check this by going to the product’s edit page and reviewing its collection assignments.

  4. Confirm the product is of the correct product type: Some menu navigation options in Shopify may only allow you to link to products of a specific product type. Ensure that the product you want to link matches the required product type for the menu item.

  5. Clear cache and refresh the admin area: If you’ve recently made changes to your products or collections, clearing the cache and refreshing the admin area might help. You can try logging out of Shopify, clearing your browser cache, and then logging back in to see if the product appears as an option.

If you’ve checked all these aspects and the product still doesn’t show up as an item you can link to in the menu, you may want to reach out to Shopify support for further assistance. They can provide more specific guidance based on your store’s settings and configurations.
