Hello. I installed the Pinterest app for my Shopify store nearly a year ago. My store had 18 products at the time and I have added 100 additional products over the months. I was under the impression that Pinterest would automatically pull in my product catalog through the app and make pins from the product page images. I have hundreds of pins that I created on my own, but to this day, none of my products has ever been automatically turned into a pin. Does this feature exist? If so, why isn’t it working for me? Thank you!
Hi, @brightlife !
Olivia here from the Shopify team.
Thanks for connecting with us. I’d be happy to help answer your question and guide you with next steps today.
It is true that the Shopify Pinterest App automatically creates and publishes Pins for products in your catalog when you have a merchant approved account. With that being said, your product must meet the following product field requirements in order to sync through to Pins:
- Title
- Description
- Image
- Price
- Product type
- Availability
Your products likely include most of the above information, but it’s worth a second look at ensuring product type and availability are both published.
If you have further questions or concerns around this, I encourage you to connect with the Shopify Pinterest App Developers directly. This team can also be reached via email at shopify-help@pinterest.com to provide you with specialized support and be available to troubleshoot your Shopify-Pinterest account.
I trust this helps, but let me know if you have other questions.
Warm regards,
