Hello all,
I have recently discovered an issue in our store with multiple locations. The issue we are having is orders are not being split to fulfill from different available stock locations as Shopify states should happen (https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/locations/setting-up-your-location-fulfillments). Instead an order placed that does need to be supplied from multiple-locations is been forced from the default location for all items regardless of stock availability.
For Example:
We have a Default location as our 'MotoHeaven Warehouse then two offsite warehouses. When an order is placed with items being available in the Default location and some available on the offsite warehouses, Shopify is committing a negative value to the default location for these non-default location items.
NOTE: All locations have ‘Fulfill online orders from this location’ turned on.
I have attached an item’s inventory from an order that should have been split however you can see Shopify has instead committed this from a location with ‘0’ available.
I cannot identify if this has been an issue before or after the introduction of the new inventory state ‘committed’ that Shopify introduced.
Some details pictured have been removed for privacy.
