I need some positive and constructive feedback/criticism on my store … i did everything i could think of and still NO sales a month after opening the shop … what am i doing wrong? i really think my products not too bad and i am spending lots of money on META ads, lots of clicks but still no sales.
Honestly your best bet is to figure out what customers are doing once they get to your store and where they are dropping off.
There is a free tool called Clarity that you can use to get free session recordings and heat maps of your Shopify Store.
The recordings and the heat map should help you figure out what is happening. And here’s a YouTube video on how to set it up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvgqHrxnyJU
I understand how frustrating it can be to spend a lot on ads without seeing any sales. However, it’s crucial for your store to look authentic in order to gain visitors’ trust. After reviewing your website, I noticed several areas that could be improved. Here are some key points:
Your business domain isn’t connected to your store yet.
The color of your website logo doesn’t match the background of the header.
The product media and product details sections should be equal in width on the product page.
There’s no option for customers to view or read reviews.
The About Us and Contact Us pages consist of only plain text.
The FAQs page is missing.
Improving your Shopify store’s design is essential before expecting results from the ads you’re running. Addressing these issues will help build trust and ultimately increase conversions.

I’m sorry to hear that your store hasn’t achieved the expected revenue, despite all the investment you’ve made. Below are a few suggestions from me, a product marketer, that I hope can help improve your shop’s performance:
1/ Review the target audience for Meta Ads:
If your ads are driving traffic to the store but not generating sales, it could be due to inaccurate targeting. This might result in visitors coming to your store but not having the intent to purchase.
You should reassess your target audience before continuing to invest in Meta ads. Ask yourself questions like: Which locations (regions) will find it easier to access and purchase from your store? (Consider shipping costs and logistics, especially in case of refunds or exchanges). What is the appropriate age range for the style of your products? (Avoid targeting a large range like 16–45, as this could lead to low-quality leads.)
2/ Website:
A few areas for improvement on your website include:
Adding a favicon to increase the site’s credibility.
I don’t see the branding and unique selling points of your shop yet. You could start by identifying the main color scheme for the website, and choosing a more attractive theme rather than using Shopify’s free default theme, which has limited design options. You could consider using Theme editor apps like Gempages or PageFly for more theme options without needing to hire a designer.
Product images lack consistency: As you can see, some images use a white font, while others have a background, making them inconsistent and unorganized.
The hero banner on the homepage doesn’t seem appropriate: You should display images that reflect your branding, help promote your business, or seasonal promotional banners like Halloween, BFCM, etc. The current leaf image doesn’t match your store’s vibe.
3/ Other Suggestions:
If your prices are significantly higher than those of competitors, customers may look elsewhere. For example, I noticed you’re selling a notebook for $20, but this is a stationery item that can be found almost anywhere for much cheaper.
You could explore apps for bundling or BOGO offers to create product packages that encourage upselling and increase order value.
If you find these suggestions helpful for you, please let me know by giving BON Loyalty a ‘LIKE’ or marking it as a ‘SOLUTION’.
I took a deep look at your situation, and I can totally understand how frustrating it feels to get a lot of traffic but no actual sales. You’ve invested in ads, optimized your store, and yet, conversions aren’t happening. Let’s break this down and pinpoint the main issues that could be affecting your results.
1. Traffic Quality – Are You Attracting the Right People?
You’re spending money on Meta ads, and you’re getting clicks, but clicks don’t always mean buyers. If the wrong audience is landing on your store, they’ll browse and leave without buying. Here’s what to check:
Ad Targeting: Are you running broad-interest ads, or are you targeting high-intent shoppers? Try narrowing your audience by targeting people who have interacted with similar brands, engaged with your content, or added items to cart but didn’t complete purchases.
Ad Messaging: Does your ad match the actual product page? If your ad sets the wrong expectation, visitors might not buy once they land on your store.
2. Store Experience – Does Your Website Feel Trustworthy?
Even if people love your products, they need to feel confident before purchasing.
First Impressions Matter: Your homepage should immediately show what your brand is about. Ask yourself:
Does your homepage make it clear what you sell?
Do you have high-quality product images, detailed descriptions, and a strong value proposition?
Checkout Process: Any friction in checkout can cause drop-offs. Make sure:
You have clear payment options and don’t require customers to create an account before purchasing.
Shipping costs and delivery times are transparent. Hidden fees kill conversions.
3. Pricing and Competitor Comparison
If people click but don’t buy, they may find your product elsewhere for a better deal. Try this:
Check competitors selling similar products. How does your pricing compare?
Add urgency (e.g., limited-time offers, discounts for first-time buyers).
4. Social Proof & Trust Factors
If your store is new, you may not have enough credibility yet. Customers trust reviews, testimonials, and social proof.
Add real customer reviews (or if you’re new, use influencer partnerships to get authentic testimonials).
Show trust badges (secure checkout, money-back guarantee, etc.).
5. Heatmaps & Analytics – What Are Users Actually Doing?
Since you have traffic, tools like Hotjar or Lucky Orange can show where visitors drop off.
Are they adding items to the cart but not completing checkout?
Are they bouncing from your homepage too quickly?
Quick Action Plan1. Fix Targeting: Refine your ad audience. Look at Meta’s analytics and optimize your campaigns toward engaged users.
Improve Your Store’s First Impression: Make sure your homepage is clear, trust signals are strong, and the checkout process is smooth.
Competitive Pricing: Ensure your price isn’t driving customers away. Test small discounts to see if conversions improve.
Leverage Social Proof: Get reviews and testimonials to build trust.
Analyze Behavior: Use heatmaps to see where customers drop off and fix weak points in your funnel.
Try these out, and you should start seeing some movement. If you need more help, feel free to ask, and I’ll do my best to assist.
