How can I add a-la-cart features to Shopify’s basic plan? I need auto import of tax and duties, and third party calculated shipping rates. How much does that cost?
i cant afford higher plan but i need these features . support didnt answer me .

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. I’m happy to provide some assistance with this request to ensure it gets resolved. To confirm I’m fully understanding, are you looking to collect duties and import taxes at checkout?
If so, your store will need to meet a list of requirements in order to have access to this feature. These requirements include:
- Being on the Advanced Shopify or Shopify Plus plan.
- Uses a shipping service other than Shopify Shipping.
- Does not use the Shopify Fulfillment Network.
- Has Haromized System (HS) codes applied to products.
- Uses registration-based taxes.
As you are not on the Advanced Shopify or Shopify Plus plan, you will not have access to this feature. To learn more about this, you can check out our Collecting International Duties and Import Taxes at Checkout document for more information.
While I can completely understand how that may not be ideal, you can look at using a third-party app from the Shopify App Store to achieve this. For ease, I’ve gone ahead and listed a few apps below that you can look into:
Similarly, carrier-calculated shipping also requires you to meet a list of requirements in order to enable this feature within your shop. As you are not on the Advanced Shopify or Shopify Plus plan, you will not have access to this feature.
