Does anyone know how the early access to the native Shopify Subscriptions app is going? Has anyone provided any feedback on the app, and have any info on when it’s likely to be rolled out for general release? I have two clients who would like to have subscription products on their stores, but don’t want to go down the route of a 3rd-party app, if then a month later it turns out they could have done it with the Shopify native app…

Thank you for getting in touch and for expressing an interest in Shopify Subscriptions. We do not have any information we can share about the early access phase of the service’s release, other than that it remains in early access for the time being and we hope to make it available to all merchants sometime in 2024. I appreciate that this isn’t a particularly detailed answer for you or your clients but we will be sure to provide more detailed timelines on general availability as soon as we are ready to do so. Your clients are welcome to register their interest in early access for Shopify Subscriptions for the time being.

Is it possible to provide the names/URLs of some stores that are currently using the early access version? It would be great to take a look at a few examples of how different businesses are implimenting it.

It is not possible for us to publicly divulge any details about merchant stores’, including any apps or features they have enabled (including Shopify Subscriptions). While we hope to announce more details about the feature prior to its full release, there is a screenshot on this page that showcases how the subscription feature will look on the product page.
