Automate order cancellation after expired payment

Hi. I have payment method that allows the user to pay with cash at a store, this method has a 72 hour period before the “payment method” colum displays “expired”, however, when it expires, the order does not get caelled and my inventory keeps the products as “commited” unles I cancel it manually and restock all items.

I want to be able to cancel the order automatically after the 72 hour period and restock all commited products, is there a way to automate this?

If you can’t find a solution to do this natively, you can do it with the Order Automator app. The app doesn’t have this out of the box but is customizable, people are already doing something similar, just reach out to app support at https://orderautomator.com/contact or through the app if you want that solution.
