Biggest SCAM on Shopify EVER for Longtime (igift.myshopify.com)

Hello Shopify,

hazeltons.ca (igift.myshopify.com) has running this shady business for last few years and by their marketing emails i was convinced now that they have improved and now must be doing fair business in this market. I placed the corporate order and our order was never got delivered and when we contact customer service they always refused to refund and kept promising that you will get your order and now eventually they have blocked my email and phone number so i can’t even reach at to them and this is how they replied to me very unprofessional and always hide behind the shipping company saying we do not control.

It is just not me there are lot of people going through the same experience for years now if you look at their reviews on google and they have

: 1* Star on Google Review → Check Google Reviews here Lot of people complaining about fraud products they must be doing drop shipping or something which is really bad.

: 1* Star on Trust Pilot → Check Trust Pilot Reviews People are trying to get hold of the customer service or someone they never entertain you for anything just say they can not do anything and block emails and calls.

Even after looking at these review we found even more horrible things from their employees that they are asking employees to send the expired products to customers and owner is not running business under real name either The owner (who goes by a FAKE name Mark Roberts but his real name is Loren Drotos) sends harassing messages all day and here are the references to review:

Shopify is completely responsible for this Biggest scam as they are helping this business to run and scam more people, first time i was scammed in 2021 and I decided to just move and now again I placed corporate order just because of their marketing emails and it was worth of over $20k order and it got never delivered it is biggest SCAM ever.

Looks like many people already complained to shopify and submitted the AUP form but no action has been taken

According to BBB, hazeltons.ca have received 228 complaints in the last year alone.

Shopify Please look into this matter and take action, as you many people complained before to Shopify and action has never been taken. It makes us feel that Shopify is supporting these type of Shady / SCAM businesses.

Thank you very much for the quick response, but If you look into this detailed case many people have submitted the AUP report form before including me and no action has been taken or no response from shopify I received which makes me worried why shopify is supporting such businesses.

When looking at the Shopify’s AUP policies I can see there are so many things that are being violated just by looking at the customer complains and employee feedbacks, here are the few points I will highlight based on the reviews and me / customer experiences, and hazeltons.ca did the violation of Illegal activities & Intellectual property as per the AUP policies.

Employees are complaining about Owner pushing their staff to clean the expiry dates so he can use those products in the gift baskets, I don’t think this is right thing to do it with their customers and its been happening from last few years as you can see employee reviews over the last 2-3 years they are complaining about this. Its just not this one thing, Please Please Please look into the review links that what people are going through the problems now, many people like me who places orders they never received and all of the frustrated people are out there and posting just google, trustpilot, yelp reviews but this business is continuing to ripping off customers. I am as a customer point of view Shopify is not looking into this matter closely and supporting this business. This business should shut down there is no way that anyone can send expired products to their customers and half of the time hazeltons.ca never delivered the orders as as you can see this from the all reviews. Shopify Please shut down this business.

Thank for Sarah for sharing your experience in detail here but I have the same experience with my orders and this is horrible that hazeltons.ca store is still doing business on Shopify it is really bad that Shopify isn’t taking any action against such fraud businesses and they are stealing millions of dollars from customers.

Shopify should not allowed these illegal activities and support this store, this store needs to be closed as soon as possible. I have posted google, yelp reviews but nothing is helping. I hope leaving review here would be helpful as Shopify personally look into this.

Yes this is really big scam and hiding since many years based on what I am reading on the internet even they also got fine for not doing business by following the provincial Health and Safety guidelines

This business should really shut down as soon as possible if Shopify doesn’t take actions we should register cyber complain. @Sophia / @Shopify_77 should look into this seriously seems.

I too have had an awful experience with Hazelton’s Gifts. I purchased a bottle of wine, 4 cupcakes and a balloon to surprise my son for his birthday (over $90.00). I requested a Yellow Tail Shiraz wine and they substituted a much cheaper wine, and not a Shiraz. My son did not like it and it was undrinkable for him. The cupcakes arrived tossed around in the box with icing everywhere. When I contacted Hazelton’s, at first they responded, but it was all the generic responses and implying that if I had sent the order by “express” delivery, the cupcakes would not have been damaged (makes no sense as it was the delivery company that was reckless), and they also said they had the right to substitute. I advised I was fine with that but they didn’t even substitute another Shiraz (although I find it hard to believe the liquor store was out of the Yellow Tail Shiraz and feel they just chose a cheaper red wine for a larger profit). As for the cupcakes, their response was that while they may have been messed up, they were still edible. This was response was insulting as the delivery was a gift and presentation is important! The mess of the cupcakes is not acceptable and they advised that they don’t recommend sending perishables. My question is, why do they offer then if they cannot provide good delivery? Photos are below on what was delivered. They initially promised a refund but then stopped responding and said a refund was not in order as the food was still edible. This is the worst company and the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. They also say they get too many orders to consult customers on substitutes. They DON’T CARE once they have your money, which they take immediately!

It looks like @Shopify_77 @Sophia doesn’t care either, I really wish if there was a system who could control and make sure the real businesses are running on all of these online platforms.

I feel now like @Shopify_77 is supporting these scam business to run and steal our money.

Can someone look at this post and shut down the business, that website needs to taken it down asap. There are so many customers like us already going through this scam, also please check the reviews if you want.

Thank you @sarah1988 for your support! I really was disappointed to see my birthday surprise show up in such a condition, and to have the wine replaced with a crappy (likely cheaper) red wine. So unprofessional!

I’m hoping the store was shut down with the amount of complaints it’s received. Yes the buyer should beware in any sight with any purchase But your organization should hold these sellers accountable because it’s bad for business.

Hi Sophia do you know if shopify-k.com is part of Shopify or legitimate. They keep listing on Facebook and I’m wondering if it’s legis or some scam.
