Where do I submit a bug report?

Translate & adapt works perfectly for most of the store, but on announcements ADAPT does not work.

I can translate it English → portuguese but english → Adapt to show different text on each markets DOESN’T WORK.

Note that it works if I add an adapt change anywhere else. It’s only announcements that it doesn’t.

It’s already causing problems and confusion for my USA clients getting a generic message.

Thank you. My store is yggdrasiloot.shop

If you check br.yggdrasiloot.shop you’ll see a different announcement text, but the USA-only one does not trigger. I’m using a default shopify theme, Spotlight.

Hi there,

This looks less like a setup issue and more like a limitation/bug with the current implementation of Translate & Adapt. The reason you’re seeing this is because the announcement bar content isn’t fully exposed to the Adapt layer — meaning translations work fine, but market-specific adaptations aren’t being pulled through in that block.

Here’s what you can do:

  1. Confirm theme vs. app scope – Some announcement bar text comes from the theme settings rather than the standard “content schema” that Translate & Adapt listens to. If your theme stores that text outside the expected schema, Adapt won’t override it.

  2. Workaround option – You can create market-specific announcement bars in your theme customizer (duplicate the section, set visibility rules per market). This way, each market sees its own version, even if Adapt isn’t handling it.

  3. Submit a bug report to Shopify – Since this is an app maintained by Shopify, the best way is:

    • Go to your Shopify Admin → Apps → Translate & Adapt

    • Click Get Support (this routes directly to the Shopify team managing it)

    • Or, from your Admin → Help → Support → describe the issue and mention it’s specific to Translate & Adapt on Announcement bars.

Because Adapt changes work elsewhere but not in Announcements, Shopify Support will want to escalate this as a bug report.

In the meantime, I’d suggest the market-specific announcement bar workaround so your U.S. clients see the correct messaging without delay.
