Hi, Shopify needs me to provide Business number (BN) in order to activate Shopify payment. How do I get the number? Do I need to register a business license in order to get that? Can someone pls help me with this problem? I dont want to get any legal issue after opening my store.

Merchants located in Canada may be required to provide a BN (Business Number), a BN can be provided by the CRA for registered business entities. TurboTax has a great document detailing this that I recommend checking out if you are unsure how to get one: TurboTax - What is a CRA Business Number. And you can register directly through the CRA website here: CRA - Business Registration.
