Can Apple Pay be used for UK subscription payments on Shopify?

According to the Apple Pay page (https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/payments/accelerated-checkouts/apple-pay)

To use Apple Pay for subscription products, you need to meet the following requirements: * Your store needs to use Shopify Payments. * Your business needs to be located in the United States, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand. * Your customers need to pay with a Mastercard or Visa card.

Does this mean its not supported to use Apple Pay to pay for a recurring subscription payment (via ReCharge Shopify Checkout Edition) in the UK? Is there any work around? Does Shopify plan to allow this?

If you have a Stripe account, you don’t need this app anymore and you don’t need to pay more commission.

https://lnkd.in/diJN5YcB that solution works regardless your store’s location-country, supports also subscriptions, and supports many payment methods supported by your Stripe account.

With this solution, there are no additional Shopify or hidden fees/commissions charged for each payment you receive, only Stripe deducts its own fee.
