Can customer tags be identified in order reports?

Hi

I was wondering about the use of customers tags - if a customer has a specific tag can we identify that detail in an order report at all?

Thanks

You can identify customer tags in various places (customer filtering, the website to display different content, emails, etc)… but I don’t think there’s a way to filter this on your Orders page.

In that case, I would tag the order, then you can filter the orders by that tag.

The manual way would be to have your support / store manager check the customer tags on the order, then apply the proper tag.

Or to automate the process with an app, for example with Order Automator you can do stuff like this:

  1. Create a rule to tag orders if the customer has the tag Some Tag.

  2. When new orders come in, if the customer has that tag, the order will automatically be tagged with the tag you choose.

  3. You can now filter orders by tag.

You can also tag based on conditions, for example, tag the order or customer if they have made more than 1 purchase. Then you can export that list of repeat customers and market to them (knowing they’re repeat customers and likely convert at a higher rate).

Before using an app, I would first try messing around in the order page to see if you can find what you’re looking for. For example, export orders by csv to see what information is available, try various filters, etc.

Hi @KTV1

Tiia here from Better Reports support team.

I believe our app Better Reports will be able to help here. We can create reports that filter orders by the customer tag, order tag, and product tag. And it can include as many or as few details as you prefer like the order number, order date, product name, total quantity sold, and total sales.

I encourage you to install Better Reports and start your free 14-day trial, and I’ll be happy to set this up for you.

Let me know how you go and feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
