Hi, I am trying to find a app or a way to make our retail and wholesale accounts 2 different platforms. Essentially the retail customer would go on our website like normal, but our wholesale account would login in through there own account by using a login. The wholesale accounts would see the markdown prices for them. The website would be customizable to them and the wholesale account would be able to just add there email and checkout. In the end collecting retail and wholesale data through Shopify would make the distinction easy. Are there any apps or features possible to even make this happen? Any help would be great!

Thank you for getting in touch. Shopify does have a wholesale channel, but this is only available to merchants on our Plus plan. There are however a number of wholesale apps on the Shopify App Store which you can use to, in effect, split your store between retail and wholesale customers. These apps should allow you to set wholesale-specific prices for your products and create wholesale accounts for customers. I’d recommend browsing through the available options on the App Store, reading through the respective features, and installing the app that seems best for you and your business.
If you’re in the United States, you can also use Shopify to list your products on the Handshake marketplace. Handshake is a marketplace where retailers can browse products listed by wholesalers, contact them for more information, and place orders for their own stores, and is a great tool if you’re looking to expand your business and advertise your products to other business owners.
