Hello,
I am considering using Shopify to build a website for my real estate company, which specializes in property rentals and sales. However, my business does not sell physical products, so I would need to adapt the platform accordingly.
My main goal is to create a professional and innovative website that convinces property owners to trust us with the rental or sale of their properties. The site would include key sections such as a homepage, services, contact, and policies. Additionally, I am evaluating the use of an app like Easy Sell COD Form to allow potential tenants or buyers to schedule property visits. However, this booking feature is secondary compared to the presentation of our company’s story and services.
Is Shopify a suitable platform for this type of service-based business? Would I face any significant limitations in adapting it to my needs? I would appreciate any advice or recommendations.
Thank you!

Shopify is primarily an e-commerce platform, it can be fully customized to suit your real estate business needs. I can build a professional, user-friendly website that showcases your services, builds trust with property owners, and integrates essential features like booking forms for property visits.
Beyond the website, I also specialize in TikTok and Facebook marketing to drive leads and conversions. Through targeted campaigns, retargeting strategies, and high-impact ad creatives, we’ll attract property owners and potential buyers to maximize your revenue.
Let’s discuss how we can bring your vision to life. Looking forward to working with you!
Hello @GSalinasAldana ,
Shopify is an e-commerce platform that allows you to sell products and services worldwide. It offers a wide range of themes and apps that can help you achieve a professional and innovative website.
However, Shopify is good for small to medium e-commerce stores with pretty straightforward functionality. If there are many custom solutions you want to have, Shopify is probably not the best solution being a SaaS platform.
I suggest you should try the Shopify free trial to see how it works. During this time, you’ll gain some experience in setting up, managing, and tuning a store according to your needs.
Please, get in touch if you need any consultation or assistance.
Best regards,
Anastasia
Hi @GSalinasAldana ,
Answer is yes and no and that’s because your primary objective is to showcase and promote your properties and services.
If you’re looking for a real estate website to book visits headless might be the way to go.
Generally you’re going to need a content management system, a customer management system and a form builder. Everything else can be integrated with plugins.
Shopify is primarily designed for e-commerce, but it can be adapted for a real estate services website with some customization. Since you’re not selling physical products, you’d need to structure your site differently using pages and collections to showcase properties instead of products.
A key limitation is that Shopify lacks built-in real estate-specific features, such as property listings with advanced filters or an MLS integration. However, you can use third-party apps or custom code to enhance functionality.
If your focus is more on presenting your company and attracting property owners rather than selling directly online, Shopify can still work. But platforms like WordPress with or might offer more flexibility for a service-based business.
Your idea of using an app like Easy Sell COD Form for scheduling visits is creative, though Shopify may not be the best fit for real estate booking features. If you’re set on Shopify, you might need a developer to tweak it to your needs.
I can totally relate to your goal of creating a professional and appealing website for your real estate business. I’ve been browsing a lot of different platforms recently, and one site that really stands out in terms of beautifully showcasing services and offering great user experience is Living on the Côte d’Azur. It’s not a real estate business, but the way they present lifestyle content and local services is super inspiring when it comes to combining clean design and useful information. They focus heavily on establishing trust and a connection with their audience, which seems like something you’d want to do with your site too. While Shopify can work for real estate services (with the right customization), I think you’d want to make sure it can handle the booking features you’re considering, especially if it’s more service-based and less about transactions. If you’re still on the fence, maybe browsing through examples like Living on the Côte d’Azur could give you some design inspiration on how to blend storytelling and professional services on a platform. Best of luck with the project!
Have gone through your request and i can see you were thinking if to use shopify to sell real estate prosperity. the best answer i can provide is No and the major reason why i said this is that shopify only dues with majorly new products. and if we take a look at what you were trying to sell. not all will be new properties and also there are some features that is meant for real estate but can not be find on shopify platform but for best platform to use for this. i will advise you to try out other platform and to get the best platform for this, I will like your reply on this message
Shopify can work for your real estate business with some creativity! While it’s optimized for e-commerce, here’s how to adapt it:
**Shopify Solutions:**1. Use “Services” as Products:
List your offerings (e.g., “Property Management Package”) as “products” with descriptions/pricing.
-
Booking Apps:
Apps like BookThatApp or Easy Sell COD Form can handle visit scheduling.
-
Storytelling:
Leverage Shopify’s blog and “Pages” for your company story, policies, and trust-building content.
Limitations to Note:- No native property listings or IDX integration (you’d need custom code).
- Design may feel “product-first” vs. service-oriented.
Yes, you can definitely use Shopify to create a real estate website focused on services. I’m a Las Vegas real estate agent and I’ve done something similar, using pages to showcase properties and connect with clients. I also have MLS listings, but these listing not attached to Shopify yet. Does anyone know if there’s a way to connect or embed MLS listings directly into a Shopify site LV Real Estate Sales?
