Would Shopify be a good option for a website about rental proprieties like this one for people who want to rent rooms in Lisbon?
I’ve seen this done with relative success with other e-commerce platforms and even looked at some Shopify themes specific to this industry but I fear it will be difficult to integrate my database.

With the native features of Shopify alone, it is not set up for a real estate type business, however this can be achieved through third party apps and custom coding.
Do you envision giving site visitors the ability to post their own listings? If so, then you should look into an app such as Multi Vendor Marketplace that will allow them to do just that.
As for the theme and the general look of the website, you will notice that in our Shopify Theme Store most of the examples and placeholders show products which at first glance might appear unsuitable for a real estate business, but the truth is that any of the themes can be customised to suit any kind of business!
I do understand that it can be kind of difficult to picture, but I would recommend you first explore our collection of free Shopify Supported themes and see where you would like to go from there. The advantage of choosing on of the free themes is that we are able to assist with any issues that may occur, and even help you out with some customisation! But do note that choosing a paid theme does not mean that you will be entirely unsupported, you will just need to direct those questions to the developers of your theme. Lastly, if you find that you’re not able to achieve the look that you’re going for with just the apps and customising your theme, you could look for help from Shopify Experts. They would be able to help you develop and fully set up the site to function!
