Can real-time shipping rates be added to the Basic Plan?

Hello -

I want to sign up for Shopify Basic Plan for my business. We will be using online service quite a lot and therefore, ship our products throughout the US and Canada (and possibly overseas). I understand that the next upgraded plan has this feature but it is costly, and I would like to stay using the Basic plan, but I know that there is no real time shipping calculation rate in the Basic plan.

I need to know if it is all possible to add/integrate a feature or an app onto the Basic plan where it can calculate the shipping rate in real time, this way customers would know exactly what will the be paying? If so, what is the cost of this and if you can please share those apps/links so I can do the needful.

Hi there, I had a client who needed this done as well. You have to get ahold of Shopify support on the phone (which might take a while so don’ expect it to be done quickly) but just tell them you need this shipping option and they add on an extra $20 to your monthly bill but you will have it available at all times :slightly_smiling_face:

@Adanvaldez Thanks for your prompt response. Will this add for $20/month take care of the REAL TIME shipping calculation as BigCommerce? I am still debating between both platforms and want to see the best for my business. Any tips?
