Can you revert back to old search bar on back-end?

The (fairly) recent change to the search function in the Orders and Products section is horrible. Particularly with orders when you have views set up - it’s 100% not clear that you’ve got an active keyword search running (which doesn’t clear when you change tabs/views), because the search bar is minimised to a button in an attempt, I assume, to save space. So the keyword search is running and reducing results and you don’t know it’s active.

Is there a way to change this back or provide feedback on the issues?

Yes this is a horrible new feature! Such a time waster when the search bar disappears every two seconds. I can’t understand how it hasn’t reverted back to how it was yet. Would love someone to address this.

Put me in the camp with THIS UPDATE SUCKS. I don’t know who decides these things, but obviously not anyone who runs a store. I know the programmers are trying to streamline things and help… This made it much harder to run my store. More Clicks, More filtering, more wasting time. The way it was, it took one click and was done to find the different order statuses that are open, unfulfilled, Return Requests, and other categories of orders… Sometimes upgrades aren’t needed…
PLEASE PUT IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS! Don’t wait 3 - 6 months… Do it Now. !

Hello @RyanMalone

There’s no way to change back the admin search to the old format, but you can at least smooth the experience a little by clearing the active search filter each time you change views, so results reset correctly. Also, don’t forget to check the state of the search icon as it remains enabled in all the order views. Regarding feedback, I think the most productive way is to write down specific instances in which it tripped you up in your daily workflow to be taken under consideration for future admin revisions.
