Collections & Sub Collections

Hello,

I’m just about ready to give up on this whole idea of a website. I own and run a 4x4 club here in Australia, I’m wanting to sell Merchandise to the members. I’ve been trying to build this website with no understanding for the past year and a half. I have really tried and I’ve added all my products and have the home page how I like.

My problem is, I have collections and I’m wanting to do sub collections. I have three collections

*The Colour Collection

*The Neutral Collection

  • The Custom Collection

but within those three main collections I want

*The Colour Collection to have Hoodies and Tees then inside that I have the products related to that

*The Neutral Collection to have Hoodies and Tees

*The Custom Collection to have two sub categories which are Number Plates and Nicknames but within them another subcategory from Hoodies and Tees.

It may be confusing as I write it but I know nobody with any experience in this, I don’t mind paying someone to help but I don’t need the whole thing done as I’ve gotten half way through already. I’ve watched countless videos, I think I’m getting somewhere but then I’m back to square one again.

Can anybody please help me?

Totally get the frustration — Shopify doesn’t have native sub-collections, but there’s a way to mimic them by manually linking collections under a parent.

If you’re looking for a visual way to build nested collections, you might want to try this app:
:backhand_index_pointing_right: FDL Breadcrumbs & Collections

It lets you drag and drop your collection structure, and it auto-generates breadcrumbs too (great for SEO!).
