Common User Account Dashboard and Login on Multiple language site

Topic summary

A user discovered that minimalist.ae operates with separate English and Arabic subdomains (minimalist.ae and ar.minimalist.ae) that share a unified customer account system. Despite appearing as separate sites with independent shopping carts, users can log in with the same credentials across both versions, and order history syncs between them.

Key Question:

  • Whether this multi-language setup with shared authentication is achievable on standard Shopify or requires Shopify Plus
  • The user notes that Shopify Plus stores are typically identifiable through source code inspection

Related Experience:
Another participant mentioned chic.ae previously had similar issues with currency switching between English and Arabic versions, which has since been resolved.

Hi

I recently came across this website on Shopify minimalist.ae/ (ENGLISH) and i registered there. I saw the language switch option so i changed it to Arabic and landed on ar.minimalist.ae/ (ARABIC).

I was thinking that they were two separate websites as i had different items in the cart, but i was able to logged in both of them using same email and password + when i ordered on the English Version i could see my order in Arabic version too. Is this possible in Normal Shopify or Shopify Plus.

Coz most of the Shopify plus store (when checked through view source) lets you know that the plan is Shopify Plus

I noticed the same issue with this website before https://www.chic.ae/ . Switching from the English Version to the Arabic Version currency issue. But now it is fixed and working perfectly
