Connecting Shopify to Facebook & Instagram

I am trying to setup our shop to our Facebook/Instagram page but I am receiving the error message of: This account can’t be selected because you aren’t an admin of the business account. Please select a different asset or ask the admin to update permissions.

I am the only admin with full permissions and access to the pages I am trying to connect it to and the page is setup as shopping on the templates.

I can see that you are having an issue when setting up your Facebook and Instagram pages. Just to confirm, are you currently working through the Facebook & Instagram by Meta channel set up? You can review the list of requirements here which will point you in the right direction for any other issues you may face.

My first suggestion would be to head over to your personal Facebook account, under Settings > Page Roles, under “Existing Page Roles”, and check if your page is listed as “Custom” or “Admin”. You will also want to ensure that that the admin page has been active for more than 24 hours as it can sometimes take up to a week while your store is connected to the Facebook API to be recognized as an Admin on Facebook.

Can confirm I have been admin with full access for more than 3 months and it has been set up as a business account for a long time more than that. I don’t know of any other requirements it wouldn’t be meeting.

Since you confirmed that you have been admin with full access, and set up your business account for quite some time, then the best option here would be to reach out directly to Meta (Facebook). They should be able to investigate further as you are having permission issues.

You can get in touch with the support team via the Facebook & Instagram channel. Once you access the channel through your Admin, click on Get Support, enter Account connection and permissions as the topic, and Connect the Facebook account. Then, fill out the rest of the information and submit your request.

I am experiencing the same kind of problem persistently.Why did this have to change from just pasting a pixel code from face book which used to work seamlessly?!Anyone who found help with this?
