Considering a switch to annual billing plan: Questions and advice needed

Hello! I’m contemplating paying my billing plan annually instead of monthly to save a little money, but have a few questions that hopefully can get answered here:

  1. Can you tell me what i would be paying annually for Basic Shopify?

  2. Can I pay my Shopify annually and my judge.me app monthly?

  3. If I pay my Shopify for a year, can i go back to monthly in a year if i wanted to?

Thank you!

Hey, @Allyoucanbe!

Good thinking about going on the annual plan. It’s definitely a more economical choice in the long run. I’d love to tell you more about it below.

  1. The subscription fees vary per country. I suggest heading over to our pricing page to find out how much the annual plan is in your location. Make sure to click Pay Yearly as illustrated in this screenshot.
  2. Your Shopify subscription and app subscription have different billing cycles, so it’s possible to pay monthly for an app while you pay annually for your Shopify plan, as long as it is offered by the app. I had a look at Judge.me and they appear to have monthly billing so your desired billing setup is possible. You may reach out to the app developers if you have other questions about their billing. You’ll find their contact details on the app listing page I shared.
  3. You can downgrade to a monthly plan whenever you wish. Just take note that this is something you aren’t able to do in the admin, so we will have to assist you in downgrading your plan. You can create a support ticket for this request and we’ll be happy to help!

I hope you’re excited to get started on your store! I thought I’d share a couple of resources that will guide you through the store setup. Feel free to check them out below.

What sort of business or online store are you setting up?

Thank you for the billing information - that is helpful. I already have a Shopify website but i have been paying monthly and realize that probably wasn’t the best way to do it.
