Hi Emmanuel,
Do you know how we can get a report of which product customer visited and which one is sold from the Google Shopping Ads?
Thanks,

Hi Emmanuel,

Hello again Tamara, thank you for your question in the FeedArmy AMA Event.
Unfortunately I don’t think that is possible because of privacy laws. We can not associate the two together. I have never looked into this deeply, but as far as I know conversion tracking data can only have the transaction ID, but you don’t know which click is for which transaction id.
But what you can do is use your Google Ads data on the day vs your Shopify sales as a signal.
For example if you see in Google Ads that a specific product got the credit for the conversion, then in Shopify you see something different was sold, then you can use this info by for example setting up an upsell or cross sell strategy.
Hey Emmanuel,
We’ve started researching the conversions with cart data (About conversions with cart data - Google Ads Help) and just saw reports that should support this (Products - Cart items advertised/sold/cross-sold). It’s a different topic now, but it would be good if you have conversions with cart data and data in these reports.
Best regards,
Tamara
You can use any available metric in your Google Ads reports.
However, please note that cart data, which is supported in my conversion tracking script, is specifically designed by Google to allow you to bid ROAS based on cost of goods, which I believe is still in beta.
You can check if you have this function, by going to Google Ads, click on your campaign, and check if the bidding option cost of goods based bidding is available.
Thanks Emmanuel! It’s good to know that your conversion tracking script also supports cart data.
