I’m new to shopify design and I’d appreciate assistance on how I could change my sites collections url from for example yourbrandname/pages/inventory to yourbrandname/inventory

You can’t do that. /pages, /collections, /product are essential and cannot be replaced with /inventory or /products or anything.
