Customers Adding to cart but did not checkout

I did everything perfectly i checked all loopholes and errors, i do get good visits but only for customers to get to checkout and then products get removed or later leave… what do i do?

Hey, @Capaxbona .

Thank you for reaching out and bringing this to our attention.

There could be different factors leading to customers abandoning their checkouts, from shipping options not appearing for their addresses or the shipping costs could be too high, so I’d recommend reviewing the abandoned checkouts to get further insight the orders. I’d also recommend testing the checkout to ensure that you’re able to see shipping rates appear for some of your customer’s addresses. It’s also important to do some market research to ensure that your products aren’t overpriced as some competitors may be offering free shipping or discounts.

If reviewing the abandoned orders isn’t able to help you determine why the customers are abandoning their orders, then it looks like we’ll need to take a closer look at your account. While we’re unable to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community, we’d be happy to further assist you through live chat. Simply visit the Shopify Help Center and login to your account to create a support request.

I noticed that you’re a new member of our Shopify Community and I’d love to hear more about your business! What kinds of products are you selling? Do you have a marketing plan prepared for your store?

we do sell home improvements and i dunno how to get a marketing plan but the shipping rates appears from the country who added to cart

Hey, @Capaxbona .

Thank you for following up!

If the shipping rates are displaying correctly, then the issue might not be a technical problem and you may want to perform some market research on your products as well as any product alternatives. As customers become more savvy with online shopping, more and more customers are evaluating the total cost (including shipping and taxes) between their options. It’s also important to ensure that your store is free from spelling mistakes and grammatical errors, which includes product descriptions and store policies, as they could impact the trust of your customers. If you need help with a marketing plan, then we’ve got an amazing guide on that here: 'Developing a marketing plan.’

That being said, should you like to receive some store feedback from me or the Shopify Community, then feel free to share your store URL!
