While adding items today I noticed that the Description section for listings is in html format all of a suden. As in -
If I fits, I sits! This kitty sticker would look puurfects on any water bottle, journal, laptop, etc.
3.0" x 3.0"
High quality and durable vinyl, indoor and outdoor use
Waterproof and weatherproof
It is on active and draft items. The listing shows up as it should in Preview.
This must have happened in the past couple days. Why? Is this a setting that can be changed? I haven’t been able to find it myself if so.
Have you tried refreshing the page?
Hi @HeartoftheHome
This is Richard at PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder app.
You’re right, seeing the raw HTML code in your product descriptions is unexpected. Here are some reasons why this might be happening and how to potentially fix it:
Accidental Code Toggle:
- Shopify’s rich text editor might have a hidden HTML editing mode. It’s possible you (or someone else with access) accidentally switched to this mode while adding descriptions.
Solution: Look for a button or toggle within the rich text editor that might say “HTML” or “Source.” Clicking it should switch back to the visual editing mode where you can format text directly.
Hoping my solution helps you solve your problem.
Best regards,
Richard | PageFly
